Or a farce, perhaps, where Joseph wanders out during/after the tragic end and . . . . Or in the midst of it, the scene turns into Joseph wadding up red-marked papers, shoving his chair back from his desk, and shooting himself while the letter from his editor about the need for another rewrite lingers on the screen. . . .

eta: Also, now that I've seen 'smallhobbit' as a name, I feel there should be a family of tallhobbit, ballsyhobbit, call-a-hobbit, wallhobbit (possibly a rock climber), and, of course, mallhobbit, with an avatar of sunglasses and Loubutin high heels.
