If a British citizen killed another British citizen in Switzerland c. 1891 (does the concept "British citizen" even exist in 1891?) and was caught by the authorities, is there any way he would have been tried back in England, or would the trial have been in Switzerland because the crime took place there?

(Yes, it's probably obvious what fandom I'm thinking about.)
