the 366 meme, part seven: Feb 12-18
Feb. 18th, 2020 06:25 pmFeb 12: Would you rather be locked overnight in a library, a museum, or a zoo? Library or museum, depending on which library vs. which museum and how comfortable the seating is.
Feb 13: What are your top three long-range goals? Finish the novel and self-publish it. Go through all the levels of the improv course I'm taking. Make more cool stuff out of yarn.
Feb 14: Who was the first person you had a crush on? Was it requited? Kid in my sixth grade class; when I watched the early Harry Potter movies, young Daniel Radcliffe's resemblance to sixth-grade crush was sufficiently uncomfortable to adult me that I haven't seen them often. And nope.
Feb 15: What’s your favorite piece in a box of chocolates? Depends on the chocolatier. It'll probably be a dark chocolate. I like caramels; I like cream fillings; I like cherry cordials; I like the Leonidas advocaat-filled chocolates. If there's a marzipan, I'll grab that.
Feb 16: Have you ever won a game of Monopoly? Possibly, but as that would involve playing it to the end, I probably quit before then.
Feb 17: If you could go back and caution your twelve-year-old self about something, what would you say? When you go to the eighth grade dance, I'm not going to tell you to flout the implied Austen-era rules about either dancing with anyone who asks or not dancing at all; I am going to suggest that you go ahead and dance with that guy you're meh about, who's actually a perfectly decent person in hindsight, and then you'll get to dance with the other two guys who asked you and who you'd have really liked to dance with. Maybe that'll be enough of an initial conditions change to keep you from making a couple really bad relationship mistakes in college.
Feb 18: What is the newest article of clothing you’re wearing right now? How old is it? Okay, this is one of the days where that's a really difficult question to answer. I *think* it's my trousers; I'm pretty sure I bought them within the last five years. But it might be my sweater, which is 4.75 years old, or my sneakers, depending on how old this pair is. I am tempted to go put on my latest scarf so I'll have a definitive answer, but that's not in the spirit of the question.
