the 366 meme, part thirty: July 22-28
Jul. 30th, 2020 04:19 pmJul 22: Do you have a living will or other documentation of an end-of-life care plan? Not really. I do have a designated medical POA with a couple of backup people, but I need to make a proper document that says "keep me alive if I'm comfortable and happy; otherwise let me go."
Jul 23: When was the last time you went dancing? Beginning of March. If there weren't a pandemic, it would've probably been last Friday.
Jul 24: Have you ever re-gifted a gift that was given to you? Technically, if you count my office's annual holiday white elephant gift exchange. I've passed along a gift to someone who I thought would like it more, but that's been more a "hey, would you like this thing that I don't need?" rather than "here's your birthday/Christmas present that someone else gave me and I don't want".
Jul 25: What’s one thing you’ve been procrastinating on that you could take care of today? Sweeping my bedroom floor.
Jul 26: Would you rather live in a house or an apartment? Standalone house. I want space between me and my neighbors; I want to be able to walk around without disturbing someone and to not be awakened by my neighbor living a normal life. If my neighbor buys a gun for self-protection and then forgets to unload it before cleaning it, I would like to have thirty feet and multiple walls between us rather than one layer of floorboards and sheetrock. (Why, yes, that is a real-life example from my apartment-living days. Fortunately I wasn't home at the time and my cat wasn't harmed.) In theory I support the idea of dense urban housing; in practice I want breathing room, or at least enough insulation between me and my neighbor that I'm not hearing every conversation.
Jul 27: Do you have a favorite mixed drink or cocktail? Frozen margarita, or else a bourbon sour. (Not that I've tried that many mixed drinks.)
Jul 28: What is your favorite word right this minute? Defenestration.
