Aug 5: Would you rather be the main character in a fantasy story, a sci-fi story, or a horror story? Fantasy or sci-fi, but it'd depend on the specific story.

Aug 6: Did you choose your current profession/job or somehow just end up in it? Just ended up in it. I applied for the entry-level position because I was applying for every staff position at that level; I got the job, loved it, and am still there. Not something that my kids can expect with their careers.

Aug 7: Whether you grew up any sort of religious or not, do you, now on an adult level, still share the same faith or lack of one/attend the same church or denomination/practice the same spiritual system that you had growing up? To the extent that I still identify with my childhood religion, it's with the denomination that I was raised in (Christian, ELCA Lutheran), and my personal theology is still rooted in that soil. One of my favorite relatively recently discovered bands is Skillet, and while I believe they hail from a more evangelical branch of Christianity than I do, I find a lot in their lyrics that speaks to me. (I also find it interesting that I'm more embarrassed to admit to listening to Christian rock than I am to admit to reading and occasionally writing slash fanfic; I feel like I have to make a disclaimer that even on the days when I'd apply the Christian label to my beliefs I'm not going to go condemn people for their religious beliefs/sexual orientation/gender identity/support of non-far-right political views.)

Aug 8: If money, time, and energy were no object, what university degree would you go back and get, just for fun? Possibly a bachelor's in engineering, just to see if I could actually do it. Or possibly any post-bac degree; one of my siblings has a PhD and the other a master's, so I'm the only one with just a bachelor's.

Aug 9: What’s unique about you, that’s different from everyone else you know? My particular DNA combination.

Aug 10: Would you rather get away with any lie you told or always know when someone else is lying? Always know when someone else is lying.

Aug 11: Everyone always thinks they’d be royalty or a knight if they were born in Medieval times, but let’s be honest, you probably wouldn’t be. So, what kind of person do you think you’d be if you were born in medieval times? Probably married to someone in the textiles industry and the mother of a slew of children, some of whom hopefully survived. Quite possibly a nun.
