In which we get the answer to memes, the universe, and everything!
Oct 14: What is something you've tried but would never do again? Being married to my ex.
Oct 15: If, without being detected, you could spy electronically for the next month and watch anyone, anywhere, anytime like a fly on a wall, would you? If so, who would you watch and how closely? If not, why not? Anytime as in anywhere in time, or anytime as in at any time during the next month? If anywhere in time, I'd pick some dead-end ancestors and see if I could find out who their parents are. If at the current time, there's an acquaintance I've been concerned about but don't have standing to inquire directly into their well-being; I'd look in on them at their workplace or when they're out in public to see how they're doing, and resist snooping further on their life. (Side note: I fill in a lot of these entries weeks or sometimes months in advance. The acquaintance who I originally wrote this about, I'm no longer as concerned about, so I'm not sure I'd actually use this tech if it were the present time. Unless I was able to go through legal channels to make the information I gathered legitimate evidence in a court of law; then I'd have an idea or seven....)
Oct 16: If it were the only way you could remain with the love of your life, would you be willing for both of you to wake up tomorrow as native speakers of an unfamiliar language, knowing that within a week, you'd permanently forget the language(s) you now speak and largely be cut off from your friends and culture? If so, what new language would you want to speak and why? I can't imagine having a love of my life who I'm that attached to. But if I had to end up in this situation, I'd pick something like Etruscan, or Proto-Indo-European, or an extinct indigenous language of the Americas originally spoken by a group that still exists -- something that people would be really interested in learning, so my Twoo Wuv and I could bring the language back to life.
Oct 17: If a movie were being made of your life, which actor would play the starring role? I don't know if she counts as an actor, but I would love to be played by Sandi Toksvig.
Oct 18: Write the words that you need to hear today. These are the people who are worth investing your time and care in, because they're investing back in you.
Oct 19: If you had to be obsessed with money, sex, sports, religion or food, which one would you choose? Already obsessed with sex, so I'd pick that because it's familiar.
