the 2021 daily meme, week 33
Aug. 19th, 2021 11:49 pmAugust 13. Did you ever hit anything while learning to drive? A very light bump against a light pole at 5 mph.
14. Do you prefer bright colors, dark colors, or pastel colors? Yes.
15. How long have you lived with the person/people you currently live with? Two of them, all their lives; the other, that many years.
16. What was the dumbest thing you ever did as a teenager? Say "if I'm still in love with you after college, I'll marry you" to a guy I was dating who proposed to me, rather than "are you fricking kidding me? I'm too young to make that decision, and we should split up and date other people while we're at college; if we're meant to be together, we'll get back together", or even just "no, I can't promise that now". (Spoiler: we broke up messily two months after I left for college.)
17. Would you prefer hardwood flooring or carpet in your home? Hardwood. I prefer sweeping to vaccuuming.
18. What’s the most you’ll pay for a pair of shoes? Depends on how well it fits. If someone ever comes up with the machine to scan my feet, 3D print a custom last, and make a pair of shoes in durable materials that will fit me beautifully, I'm willing to save a decent chunk of money to pay for that. But the shoes I normally buy, I'm paying under $100/pair for, and then I wear them until they're falling apart.
19. Which flower is your favorite? In nature, cornflowers, with bluebonnets and firewheels close behind. In gardens, anything that's bright and colorful. To smell, honeysuckle, though rose and petunia are close behind. In bouquets, anything that's a cheerful color and will survive for a week in a vase.
