castironMarch 5. How did you wear your hair as a child? Cut very short -- not quite crew cut, but no more than three inches long when straightened out.
6. As a child, who was your favorite relative and why? Outside the immediate family, my maternal grandmother. She taught me how to knit.
7. What have you always been curious about? High energy physics.
8. Do you believe there is life on other planets? Yes. (Whether it's more than bacterial life, who knows?)
9. If you could become a member of any TV family which would it be and why? I'm not familiar with that many TV families, and the ones I am familiar with, I wouldn't want to be part of.
10. If you had no work or other obligations tomorrow you would… Assuming "no other obligations" means the family would be off somewhere else all day? Putter around the house going through stuff that needs to be gotten rid of and boxing it up for charity pickup/used bookstore dropoff/etc.; do a stint on each of my needlecraft works-in-progress; write a bit more on one of my stories.
11. Where do your friends and family fit in your life? Do you prefer spending time with either group over the other? Well, right now I'm biased because I've spent the entire year in a box with my immediate family, and I would really like to spend some time with my friends or my extended family. That said, my friends are the people I spend time with because I find them interesting, I like who they are, and I enjoy being in their company. Some of my family members are also friends; other family members are people who I tolerate; still others are people I actively avoid. So on balance, I prefer to spend time with my friends, but that group may include members of my family.
