the 366 meme, part fifty: December 9-15
Dec. 16th, 2020 12:19 amDec 9: What is your evening routine like? Get kids to bed, fiddle about on the computer until too late, brush teeth, go to bed.
Dec 10: Of the four personality temperaments based on the ancient Greek humors—sanguine, phlegmatic, choleric, and melancholic, which one best describes you? Phlegmatic.
Dec 11: If you could live in any TV show, which one would you choose? As me or as some other person? If as me, Cook's Country or Rick Steve's Europe. If as a character in the universe, Star Trek.
Dec 12: What’s your favorite holiday cookie? (Post the recipe?) When I was a kid, Mom made several different kinds of cookies and treats to make up plates for the neighbors. My favorite when I was little was the sugar cookies; we got to use all the holiday cookie cutters, and the dough was delicious (though since the recipe didn't make a lot, Mom discouraged us from snitching the dough). As I got older, I developed an appreciation for the walnut horns and the seven-layer cookies as well, and I always loved the Mamie's Million Dollar Fudge. I'll have to see if I have recipes anywhere; the "giving neighbors treats" tradition had died out by the time I had an adult home, and since I never give parties there's not an occasion where a big variety of cookies is useful.
Dec 13: What is something you’ve done that no one would expect of you? Improv classes.
Dec 14: If 2021 could see you moving to another city, where would you go? Somewhere that's like what my current city was in the 90s -- cheap enough that it's affordable to live there, but attractive to a variety of people so plenty of interesting things are happening and it's not just a single social class of white folks living there. (I'm not sure that such a city exists anymore.)
Dec 15: What’s the best thing to do on a snowy day? Make a tiny snowball from the eighth-inch of snow.
