How many English cities/towns/other municipalities founded before 1775 do *not* have a U.S. city/town/other municipality named after them?

(I was originally going to ask about British cities, but I suspect there are a bunch of towns in Wales that do not have American namesakes.)

Dunno, but there ought to be at least one "Warton" given that the village in question (which is about ten miles from my home town of Lancaster, which has about *seven* US cities and towns named after it) is where one set of George Washington's ancestors come from and where, to note the fact, we named a pub after him ). The other lot of ancestors came from Washington, Tyne & Wear, via Essex.

I don't know, but I just went past a turnoff for Boston this morning, and felt rather disillusioned.

*googles* Good heavens, you've got a Taunton in Massachusetts.

My major problem when searching online for things like hairdressers in Wellington, the other small local market town, is that they all turn out to be in New Zealand.
