My reactions to the Eurovision 2020 playlist (alphabetized by country, not in order of playlist).

Albania: Current video is lyric only. A slow pretty song, but I'm thinking "My Heart Will Go On".

Armenia: A good song to dance to, but I'm meh about the lyrics. Avoid the video if you're affected by strobe lighting; it's giving *me* a migraine.

Australia: Performance video. Nice song; slow but has energy.

Austria: Nice R&B song; video's okay.

Azerbaijan: Like the song; a lot of the style of "Toy". Would appreciate the video more if I were gynesexual.

Belarus: Performance video; love the singer's headgear. Nice song.

Belgium: Oh, Belgium, I want to love you, and your technical competence is excellent, but I'm just not feeling it.

Bulgaria: Isn't that the same singer that's in Greece's video? Boring video. Okay song.

Croatia: Performance video. I like the song; it's ballady but has a bit more energy.

Cyprus: I rather like the song; video is nice idea but gets boring after a bit.

Czech Republic: Nice. Good beat, shirtless guys, nice song.

Denmark: Performance video. Now that song has some energy. I like it.

Estonia: Got Harry Potter to sing for them. Decent song, but not sticking for me yet.

Finland: Performance video, pleasant enough song.

France: Lights on the Eiffel Tower, yay. It's a nice enough song.

Georgia: Nice lyrics.

Germany: The lyrics bug me a bit, but I otherwise like the song. Video, eh. Yet another young man chasing a young woman. Whee.

Greece: Nice song. Great video -- my favorite of all the videos so far.

Iceland: Performance video, Devo meets Kraftwerk. I kinda like it.

Ireland: Peppy song. Fun costumes in video.

Israel: Performance video that's actually worth watching for the dancing. Fun song.

Italy: Nice enough, but I'm getting bored with slow ballads.

Latvia: I like the song. I like what the video's trying to do, though I don't think it quite hits.

Lithuania: I like the song. Video's weirdly arty mirror stuff. The lead singer has an eerie resemblance to Christopher Eccleston.

Malta: I like the song. Video is weird, but I love the singer's costumes.

Moldova: I'm liking the song and the little melodic riff, but the video's a bit weird, interesting but weird and gets boring after the first 30 seconds.

Netherlands: Song is good but too slow for my tastes. Interesting visuals in video.

North Macedonia: Decent song; that video is doing interesting things with switching gender behaviors.

Norway: Performance video. I like the lyrics, and it's a nice slow ballad.

Poland: The social protest video for this round. Nice song.

Portugal: Pleasant song. Basic performance video.

Romania: Insufficient mood-altering substances and gynesexuality to appreciate the video, also strobe warning starting around 2:00. I'm not a fan of this particular vocal quality, but it's well done.

Russia: I'm kinda charmed by the big guy dancing. The song doesn't do much for me, but I like that it has some energy and is a different style from the rest.

San Marino: Austin Powers wants his video back. I like the song.

Serbia: Nice song; insufficiently interested in women in fetish gear to appreciate the video.

Slovenia: Performance video. Nice enough song.

Spain: I like the song. Glitterorama.

Sweden: Performance video by the Muses from Hercules. Good song.

Switzerland: The empty library shelves are creepy. I like the song a lot.

Ukraine: I LOVE THIS SONG. Total sucker for that Eastern European women's singing style. Performance video.

United Kingdom: I like the song; the guy in the video is...unique. (This video has the best comment: "I love how the UK sends a song in their own language every year!")

Overall, I'm ready to contribute to the GoFundMe to buy amphetamines for all the songwriters preparing songs for Eurovision 2021 consideration. I'm happy with a few ballads, but this is a bit much.
