Mar 25: What languages can you speak and how fluently can you speak them? I can muddle through a little bit of French, but not at all fluently. Can't speak anything else; with sufficient immersion I can follow a conversation in Dutch, but my brain doesn't want to produce it.
Mar 26: Let’s do some more pseudoscience! What’s your Myers-Briggs/Kiersey type? There are many versions of the test online, but here’s a good one: https://www.truity.com/test/type-finder-personality-test-new Usually INTP, with the I and N very strong and the T and P more borderline; this particular test on this particular day had me as INFP, which is within error tolerance. INTP, INFP, or INTJ, but I've never tested INFJ.
Mar 27: If you were independently wealthy, what would you do with your time? Knit, spin, and write. And if I were obscenely wealthy, I'd have an octopus habitrail through my house (and staff to tend the octopodes).
Mar 28: What characteristic do you most dislike about yourself? Overthinking everything I say/write. In text, it can lead to me taking 15 minutes to write a 25-word email that doesn't deserve that level of thought; in group conversations, by time I figure out what I want to say, the conversation's moved on. When writing a story, when I don't have a strong sense of what's supposed to happen, it's really easy for me to completely freeze up because everything I try to write is Wrong Wrong Wrong.
Mar 29: What fictional world would you most like to visit? If I were even allowed there, Arda at the time of the Lights.
Mar 30: What do you want to say when someone asks, "What do you do"? Want to say as in "wish I could honestly say this" -- "I write and publish books." Want to say as in "how to describe how I actually spend my days" -- "I wrangle metadata, yarn, words, and children."
Mar 31: What famous or important people share your birthday? A noted physicist, a close relative, and an interesting translator.
