January 8. Do you often make impulsive purchases? In grocery stores, all the time. In other physical stores, sometimes; when I go into a yarn shop or stationery shop, it's with the assumption that I'll buy something if it interests me (and if I'm not in a position to buy, I don't go to the shop).
9. What makes you suspicious of other people? They're too nice to me too quickly. Someone who's friendly and polite is fine; someone who's effusive with me but is also effusive with everyone in the room, likely their general personality or how they act when they're nervous around new people; someone who's acting like my new best friend when we've only known each other for an hour, warning bells.
10. Do you enjoy dystopian future books/movies? No.
11. Do you have any recurring dreams? Standing on a pyramid in sun-god robes.... Seriously, I have a recurring anxiety dream where I've just realized that it's the day of a final exam in a class that I haven't attended all semester and can no longer drop. There's also a building that shows up in a lot of my dreams that my subconscious modeled off the main building at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. And there's the dream that I've suddenly found another room in my house. And the bouncing dreams -- I don't dream that I can fly, but I dream that I can jump high and far as if I'm in lower gravity.
12. Do you like to be the center of attention? Yes and no. Is it positive attention or negative attention? If it's positive attention, I love it. I have learned that I enjoy being on stage, and I'm the person who does actually enjoy when the waitstaff at the restaurant comes out and sings happy birthday to me.
13. What would you miss if you stopped using your smartphone for 48 hours? a. Technically, it's not a smartphone, it's an iPod Touch. b. Listening to music while driving; reading in odd moments unless I think to bring a paper book. Everything else, I can do from my desktop.
14. Looking back over the last year what are you most grateful for? I have a job that is doable from home in an industry that hasn't been immediately gutted by pandemic effects.
